Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

1.Overview

Boritom ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI tool that tailors resumes and related job-application materials to specific roles. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using Boritom, you agree to the practices described here.

2.Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Profile and resume content — work history, education, skills, projects, and the personal narrative you add to your profile, plus any resume or LinkedIn export you upload.
  • Application inputs — the job descriptions you paste and the documents Boritom generates for you.
  • Billing information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
  • Usage and device data — basic logs and analytics needed to operate and secure the service.

3.How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the core service — tailoring your resume and generating cover letters, recruiter, and LinkedIn messages.
  • Calculate ATS match scores and keyword suggestions.
  • Process payments and maintain your token balance.
  • Send transactional email (e.g. account verification, password resets).
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

4.AI Processing & Subprocessors

To generate tailored documents, we send your profile content and the job description you provide to third-party AI model providers. Under their API terms, these providers process your content to return results and do not use it to train their models.

We rely on the following key subprocessors to operate Boritom:

  • Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (GPT) — AI generation and analysis.
  • Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of application data.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Netlify — hosting of the website.

5.How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the subprocessors listed above to provide the service, when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

6.Data Retention

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual documents and profile data at any time, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting us. We may retain limited records as required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

7.Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from your account settings or by emailing us at [email protected].

8.Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and continuously improve our practices.

9.Children’s Privacy

Boritom is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10.International Users

We operate in the United States and may process your information there. By using Boritom, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data-protection laws than your own.

11.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
